TEN MILES OF
TOADS SONG
Directed by Qin QIN
Synopsis:
On the search for a new home for his tadpole friends, a young boy discovers a hidden family secret
Eight-year-old Xu Letian was called to the teacher's office for getting into a fight and bringing tadpoles to school. Now, Letian has to find a new home for the tadpoles. Along Letian's quest "in search for a home," he stumbles upon a secret that sets his own family apart from the others.
Words from the Director:
"In recent years, we've seen many LGBTQ-themed films on the big screen, often revolving around the theme of sham marriages. It seems that these issues—social issues—are indeed the holes in our socks that haven't been mended, and we pretend not to see them. We continue to move forward with these holes, greeting friends as usual, even as the skin becomes chafed and inflamed from prolonged friction. We still put on a smile."
